Teen Therapy

I offer a safe, supportive space for teens (ages 15 and up) who may be experiencing:
Anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity exploration, academic pressure + performance anxiety, interpersonal conflict, familial dynamics, body image, attention difficulties, trauma recovery, and emotional regulation… Just to name a few!

With an eclectic toolkit of therapeutic modalities, I draw on a variety of techniques to best meet the unique needs of each client:
Emotion-Focused Therapy helps clients process emotions and develop healthier emotional responses. Alongside this, I use Solution-Focused Therapy to identify practical solutions and leverage existing strengths. To further support emotional regulation, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy combines mindfulness with cognitive techniques to enhance present-moment awareness and challenge negative thought patterns. As needed, somatic techniques help clients tune into physical sensations, facilitating emotional processing.
I also integrate Internal Family Systems, which explores the different "parts" of the self to promote healing and self-compassion. Additionally, Narrative Therapy supports clients in re-authoring their personal stories, helping them discover new meanings and possibilities.
Complementing these approaches, Expressive Arts Therapy offers creative outlets such as art, music, or writing that allow clients to express feelings and experiences that might be difficult to put into words.

I enjoy working with teens who are beginning to explore their identities, emotions, and relationships in deeper ways. Whether they’re navigating big feelings, adjusting to life transitions, or just needs a space to vent and reflect, I meet them with compassion, curiosity, and respect. I believe every teen has inner wisdom and resilience, and I work to help them access both.
I also value open communication and collaborate with parents or caregivers as needed, while respecting each teen’s privacy and autonomy in therapy.

Individual therapy is helpful for so many people because it’s the best way to receive truly tailored therapy.
Therapy provides a supportive space for teens to better understand themselves, learn emotional regulation skills, build confidence, and practice healthy communication. It’s also a place to talk to someone who isn’t a parent, teacher, or peer; Someone outside of their daily world who offers perspective, without judgment.
