Brainspotting Intensives

Deep Healing. Focused Time. Real Momentum.

Brainspotting Intensives are designed for those who are ready for meaningful, accelerated healing and embodied change, without stretching the work across months of weekly sessions.

Let’s process what’s stuck — at the root.

Does this resonate?

  • Your schedule is full, and weekly therapy just isn’t realistic right now.

  • Old trauma keeps showing up in your relationships, leaving you stuck.

  • You’re tired of circling the same issues, and maybe part of you believes you “should be over this by now.”

  • You feel numb, shut down, or like there’s something heavy lodged inside you.

  • You’ve been in therapy before… but something still feels unresolved.

  • You understand your patterns intellectually, but your nervous system hasn’t caught up.

  • On the outside, you’re functioning. On the inside, you’re exhausted.

You’re not broken. Your nervous system adapted to survive. Now let’s help it grow with purpose.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a cutting-edge, evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps access and process deeply rooted emotional and physical trauma. While talk therapy engages the thinking mind, Brainspotting works directly with the deeper, primitive regions of the brain, such as areas responsible for emotion, memory, and survival responses. Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. By guiding you to specific eye positions (“brainspots”), Brainspotting taps into the brain’s natural ability to locate and release trauma stored in the body, while also strengthening internal resources and resilience.

Why choose an Intensive?

  • Oftentimes, traditional talk therapy sessions leave only a short window for the deep work your nervous system truly needs, meaning you might only get a few hours of focused processing per month. Brainspotting intensives give your nervous system extended, uninterrupted space to go deeper, access what’s stuck at the root, and integrate change more fully.

  • By focusing the work into extended sessions, many clients experience:

    ✔ Greater continuity in processing

✔ Fewer total sessions over time

    ✔ Reduced reactivation between appointments

✔ A more streamlined investment in your healing

  • Entrepreneurs. Parents. Professionals. Creatives. If your life doesn’t easily accommodate weekly appointments, an intensive offers a structured alternative.

  • Brainspotting supports neurophysiological regulation and insight. Clients often report:

✔ Less emotional reactivity to triggers and old patterns
✔ More capacity to stay present and emotionally regulated
✔ Increased sense of calm, clarity, and personal agency

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Brainspotting is both a diagnostic and therapeutic technique that uses the brain’s natural self-scanning and self-healing abilities. It works by identifying specific eye positions (“brainspots”) that access the deeper regions of the brain where trauma may be stored. These brainspots are often revealed through subtle reflexive cues like eye twitches, facial movements, or changes in posture, which are signals that may occur outside your conscious awareness.

I help you stay connected to that brainspot while your brain and body begin to process the unresolved material. The method is often enhanced by BioLateral sound, which supports regulation and integration by gently activating both hemispheres of the brain. This approach allows for deep, focused healing, while keeping you safely within your window of tolerance.

  • The short answer is, YES!

Brainspotting is an evidence-based modality supported by neuroscience and clinical research. It’s recognized for its effectiveness in treating trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and performance blocks.

Emerging studies show Brainspotting activates the brain’s subcortical structures (where trauma is often stored) and facilitates neurobiological healing and emotional regulation.

  • Each intensive includes:

    • Pre-intensive intake (90 minutes) to clarify goals and prepare your nervous system

    • Focused Brainspotting processing (3.5–7 hours total, depending on your package)

    • Post-intensive integration session (60 minutes) to consolidate insights and plan next steps

We’ll begin by briefly summarizing your goals, and then be guided to notice where in your visual field you feel the most emotional or physical activation (or calm). This becomes your “brainspot”. The intensive is tailored to your goals and pace, giving your nervous system the time it needs to process deeply, without interruption.

During sessions, you may listen to BioLateral sound through headphones to support deeper processing. You’ll focus on body sensations, thoughts, or emotions that arise; Without needing to analyze or explain them.

You remain fully in control of the pace and content, and I’m there to support you in staying grounded and attuned throughout the experience.

  • In a typical 60-minute weekly session, only 30–40 minutes are available for focused Brainspotting work. An intensive provides 3.5–7 hours of uninterrupted, fully supported processing in a single day or across two days. This allows your nervous system the time it truly needs to move through layers, integrate insights, and create lasting change.

  • Intensives can be especially powerful for:

    • Trauma (PTSD and complex trauma)

    • Shame and chronic self-criticism

    • Anxiety and panic

    • Burnout and overwhelm

    • Attachment wounds and relationship patterns

    • Performance blocks (creatives, athletes, entrepreneurs)

    • Somatic symptoms, chronic pain, or chronic stress

Intensives are ideal for individuals who:

    • Feel ready for deeper trauma processing

    • Want focused, accelerated progress

If you’re unsure whether this format is right for you, we can schedule a consultation call to explore fit.

  • Each intensive is unique, and people experience it differently! Some notice internal shifts right away, while others recognize changes gradually in the days or weeks that follow.

Because intensives give your nervous system extended, focused processing, many clients report more immediate clarity, emotional regulation, and relief compared to traditional weekly sessions. Some clients describe the effects as a “Brainspotting facelift” - A refreshed, lighter feeling when trauma and stuck patterns start to lift!

Benefits can continue to unfold over time, even weeks later, as the brain integrates what it processed.

  • Your window of tolerance is the emotional bandwidth where your nervous system can safely engage in healing without becoming overwhelmed (hyperaroused) or shut down (hypoaroused).

Brainspotting helps you stay within this window, supporting sustainable and effective trauma resolution. This concept is core to Brainspotting’s approach, to ensure healing occurs in a way that feels safe and empowering, not retraumatizing.

  • Experiences vary! Some people feel lighter, more open, or energized. Others feel tired, emotionally tender, or ready for rest. You might notice a sense of calm right away, or experience temporary activation before your nervous system settles again. Sleep can deepen for some people, while others may notice vivid dreams or brief changes in sleep patterns.

Because Brainspotting works at a deep neurological level, these shifts are part of how the brain integrates and reorganizes. It’s common for effects to continue unfolding for hours or days after a session.

It can be helpful to plan for gentleness afterward, even if you don’t end up needing it. When possible, schedule sessions on days when you can rest, move slowly, or engage in calming activities. Staying hydrated, eating nourishing food, and offering yourself extra compassion can support the integration process. Many people find it helpful to think of Brainspotting as a deep workout for the brain.

    Risks and Benefits:
Brainspotting is a powerful, evidence-based modality that helps access and process deep-seated trauma and emotional distress. Many clients experience profound relief, improved emotional regulation, and increased self-awareness. However, as with any therapeutic process involving trauma work, some risks exist. These may include temporary increases in emotional intensity, the surfacing of difficult memories or feelings such as sadness, anxiety, anger, or discomfort, and physical sensations related to trauma release.

It is important to know that these reactions are often part of the healing process. You are encouraged to openly communicate and proceed at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Brainspotting is conducted within a supportive therapeutic relationship designed to keep you within your window of tolerance.

    Contraindications:
Brainspotting may not be appropriate for everyone at all times. Please consult with your provider/physician before beginning Brainspotting therapy if you have any of the following conditions or situations:

    • Active psychosis

    • Recent traumatic brain injury (within the last 3 months)

    • Seizure disorders or epilepsy (if untreated or unstable)

Your safety is paramount. If you experience any unusual physical or emotional symptoms during or after a session, please notify me immediately and seek medical advice as appropriate.

    Aftercare:
Following a Brainspotting session, your brain and body may feel physically and emotionally tired, as processing trauma requires significant energy and focus. It’s important to practice gentle self-care by resting, staying well-hydrated, and eating nourishing meals to support your brain’s healing work. Avoid stressful situations when possible, and give yourself space and time to integrate the experience fully. Taking a walk or engaging in light movement can also help ground your nervous system.
